hi, i’m jessica.
I’m the founder and designer behind @designedbychep. I started this brand when the world turned upside down in 2020—my career as an event marketer came to an abrupt halt as the Covid-19 pandemic shut down New York City.
I have always been passionate about creating memorable moments, so when events were put on pause, I started hand embroidering custom sweatshirts to make people smile when they needed it the most. Armed with a needle and thread, I pieced together my creative side with my entrepreneurial spirit and sewed nonstop in my NYC apartment. Most of my friends call me by my last name, Chep, so when the business began to grow bychep was the clear winner for its name.
Prior to this crazy journey, I’ve worked in design, merchandising, color and concept, marketing, and events. I am now a proud small business owner, and learn something new with every stitch. I love hearing the stories behind your special designs and I’m excited to help you bring your vision to life!
